Daniel Rodrigues

Dedication and determination

Daniel Rodrigues, born in Belo Horizonte in 1986, is Brazil's number 1 wheelchair tennis player. Born with a malformation in his right leg, he chose to have it amputated in 2013 to use a prosthesis. It was at that time that he fell in love with tennis during a trial class at the NGO "Tênis para Todos". Daniel's resilience is living testimony to Slyce's motto: "It's Never Over."

Since then, Daniel has racked up a number of notable achievements. His silver medals in doubles and bronze in individual at the 2023 Parapan American Games stand out, as well as other medals in previous competitions such as Toronto 2015 and Lima 2019. He also won team silver at the World Cup in Japan in 2016 and bronze at the World Cup. from England in 2009.

Daniel is an example of resilience and dedication to sport, demonstrating how personal overcoming can lead to great achievements. He continues to inspire other athletes and the Brazilian sports community with his trajectory and achievements in wheelchair tennis.
